WHO WE ARE
Welcome to HudsonFlowVintage! My name is Beverly, and I am the owner of HudsonFlowVintage started in 2014. We are an online vintage store that curates and sells vintage clothing in Westchester County, New York, located along the beautiful Hudson River. Our clothing is found and selected through travels, vintage stores, family connections, estate sales, barn sales, attics, private showings, and old thrift shops in our path.
MEET THE FOUNDER
HudsonFlowVintage was founded in 2014, selling in private venues and online. The name HudsonFlowVintage started with a photo trip photographing my favorite lighthouses on the Hudson River. I was inspired by the beauty of the sky turning the mountains blue, how the river flowed opposite ways, and the dapple-sunlit beauty of New York State's Hudson Valley.
I developed a passion for collecting clothing and the arts early on, attending fashion runway shows and museums with my two fashionistas, grandmothers who love dressing up and traveling, learning new things, and making new friends in different parts of the world. My studies are in Fine Arts, photography, writing, and accounting. I have worked as a photographer, model, fashion stylist, and for Calvin Klein. All above have led me to love and preserve vintage clothing and accessories, to give my customers courtesy and the best shopping service we can provide you.
STYLE
My minimalist style and way of living are to find vintage pieces that fit into the way we live today, interchanging with other clothing and accessories of a wardrobe. Today we are busy and on the go and have many roles to play. Vintage clothing, to me, is better made, can be handed down to another, and lasts a long time due to the quality and craftsmanship of the garment or accessory already proven. It saves us and our planet from new manufacturing, knockoffs, inferior craftsmanship, near-to-no wages, and poor working conditions for others we never see. Cutting down on the carbon and emissions footprint and providing the chance of being a genuine original with vintage pieces you and I may never see again. I never worry about seeing the same clothing on someone else when attending an event wearing vintage.
At HudsonFlowVintage, you'll find well-made vintage clothing and accessories dating from the 1930s to the 1990s and many other unique items before and after. We have decided to sell some well-made items shy of 20 years on my website, along with our 20 years plus vintage items—these garments are listed as modern. HudsonFlowVintage has sold Vintage British hacking jackets, Schott jackets, Cowboy boots, and articles by Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Paul Stuart, Laura Ashley, Coach, Kenneth Richard, Joo Kay, Stetson, Ann Taylor, Lord and Taylor, Pil Zileri, Escada, Manolo Blahnik, Alexander McQueen, more, including accessories. Most items are in near-mint or mint condition. Each item is handpicked and looked over carefully by myself and others before listing.
All clothing is Eco-friendly and professionally dry cleaned without masking scents added; other items are professionally specialty cleaned, hand laundered, and machine-washed in low-water, high-efficiency machines. We steam all clothing just before shipping except for fragile items already cleaned. The garments and accessories are sent to you wrapped in blue and white tissue paper with ribbon and cards free of charge. Every item is protected well from the elements.
We love to hear from you with any questions you may have about our items and to make your shopping experience a pleasurable one.
Thank you for taking the time to read about HudsonFlowVintage.
