Best & Co Young Cosmopolitans Houndstooth Coat
BEST & CO. vintage 1960s robin's egg blue, brown, houndstooth wool, single breast, notch-collar, box style coat. Young Cosmopolitans Trademark.
This unique coat's coloring is pretty in a rich shade of vintage cognac brown and robin's egg light blue-green with a soft velour collar that resembles suede. The garment has two faux front pockets and Bakelite's round buttons. A striking orange lining is lovely.
It is a beautiful season transition lightweight wool coat and would make an excellent piece for an event such as a spring or fall wedding. This garment works well for Spring and Fall when there is a chill. The weight makes it great for layering with sweaters.
This coat would be a lovely gift for someone collecting rare vintage coats.

CONDITION
Excellent - Rare vintage from Upstate New York.
Organically Dry Cleaned - Ready to wear.
The coat's wool is in near mint condition without snags, holes, or discolor. The garment's lining has some slight discoloration. Some look like pale water spots on the lining, and others are fabric deepening due to age—no rips or tears.
The orange lining's hem is hand hemmed. The sleeve is hemmed one inch with a basting stitch, and easy-to-remove the stitches for extra length without harming the coat. Overall, this coat is in beautiful condition and care.
